Psychotherapy

I am currently welcoming new individual and couples clients.

I provide meaningful support to those pursuing positive change, helping them live fully and authentically in connection with themselves and their relations. I work with individuals and couples who are navigating interpersonal concerns, life’s transitions, and healing from past traumas. I provide counselling to private and insured clients under the supervision of registered psychotherapist, Bonney Elliot. I am gentle and curious in my approach, and bring my strengths of compassion, honesty, and a quality of stubbornness that I hope will be seen as an unfaltering commitment to support your journey and wellbeing.

I specialize in internal family systemspsychedelic integration, mindfulness, and somatic/movement-based therapies. As a globally-minded individual and a formerly trained Geographer, I hold awareness of pervasive systemic injustices and intergenerational traumas. That’s why I look beyond diagnostic labels to truly appreciate what life is like to be you.

I bring a collaborative and relational approach to therapy. I endeavour to get to know the person that you are and understand the diversity of life experiences that have led you here. l deeply value safety, non-judgement, and the courage it takes to be open with another. That’s why, with me, therapy always proceeds at the pace of relational trust.

I am grateful to you for being here, right now, and taking a step toward what is important. You can learn more about me, Simon, on the About Us page or by visiting Simon’s profile on Psychology Today.

Part of my own therapeutic journey has been an exploration of pain and conflict held within my body. As an multi-sport athlete, I believed for a long time that I could stretch, strengthen, or move my way past this discomfort. I even attempted a cycling journey across North and South America in search of answers to my life’s curiosities. It was only when I discovered Bessel van der Kolk’s book, the Body Keeps the Score, that I realized how my past traumas and unprocessed emotions were playing a role. Through my own psychotherapy with psychedelics and internal family systems therapy, my intimate and spiritual journey of connection with my partner, as well as my parallel embodied journey with yoga, breathwork, dance, movement, and mindfulness I have been able to soften my pain and connect with my inner self to create more harmony.

As a result of my journey, I have become specifically curious to understand and support those who experience stress, pain, substance use and internal conflict. I am also deeply curious about trauma and the impact it has on us as individuals, as a species, and in relation to those with whom we share our planet.
