PSYCHEDELIC INTEGRATION CIRCLES

After an experience, whether psychedelic or not, being in community with others who can relate, empathize, and understand is critical to keeping the experience alive and integrating it over the long term. Right to pass: During meetings, you may be called on; however, you have the right to pass if you do not wish to answer.

Guidelines:

We will use the ACE Model to guide our integration circles.

Accept. Connect. Embody

  • Let go – Travel from the busyness of the mind into the depths of your body
  • Sense: Scan your awareness from fingers to toes
  • Feel: Open yourself up to emotion.
  • Connect to self: take deep breaths, feel warm, calm, and expansive
  • Connect to meaning: What did your experience represent? Why does it matter?
  • Connect to intention: How will you honour this experience with action?

Why do we practice mindfulness and breathwork?

Mindfulness helps someone be comfortable in holding awareness and getting into an introspective state during psychedelics. Breathwork and meditation are tools that can help you ease into or navigate experiences.
